BACKGROUND OF NASINU TOWN COUNCIL
Nasinu, established as a Millennium Town on January 1, 2000, under the Local Government Act Cap 125, is Fiji's largest municipality by population, land area, and number of ratepayers. Covering 78.3 square kilometers, Nasinu serves as a key urban and economic hub, poised for transformation into a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable city by 2030.
With a growing population of around 120,000, including 28,000 residents in informal settlements, Nasinu faces rising demands on infrastructure and services. This NTC Strategic Plan 2024–2030 addresses these challenges by focusing on innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity to ensure equitable growth and resilience for all residents.
